Twitter is an online social networking service that enables users to send and read short 140-character messages called "tweets".
You can trigger Flow XO on:
- New Follower
- New Tweet
- New Tweet in List
- Tweet Posted
- Favorited Tweet
And in your Flow XO flows you can configure the following actions:
- Add User to a List
- Favorite a Tweet
- Retweet a Tweet
- Send a Tweet
Connecting Your Account
When you want to connect your Twitter account in Flow XO, you'll just need to click the 'Authorize' button after selecting the Twitter service, and the task you'd like to perform. If you're not already signed into Twitter, you'll be directed to a new window where you can sign into your Twitter account using your normal Twitter details
Should I include the '@' symbol when specifying a Twitter user in Flow XO?
It's up to you! Both '@username' and 'username' will work when specifying a user in a Flow XO task input.
Are there any rules or best practices I need to be aware of in respect of using Twitter with Flow XO?
Automating Twitter with Flow XO is an exciting prospect. However, you should be careful when setting up your flows to consider Twitter's rule's on spam. Twitter also publish an 'Automation Rules and Best Practices' document.
- The "New Tweet" trigger will not work if you choose to monitor a recently created user or a user with less than 5 followers
